A 2025 Year-End Reflection from Founders Mamuka & Liana

As we close out 2025, we are less focused on milestones and more grateful for the people who made this year meaningful. Our growth came through intention, in conversations, collaborations, and in the way design continues to bring people together. This year reminded us that progress does not need to be rushed to be impactful.

To our TBS community, our team, partners, and customers, thank you. Your trust, support, and willingness to co-create make everything we do possible. Together, we have brought beautiful design and craftsmanship to life, pushed boundaries within the design space, and continued learning alongside one another. Without your belief in our vision, TBS simply would not be able to grow.

The year began with gathering in Paris during Déco Off in collaboration with La Cornue. That moment set the tone for much of what followed. It reinforced our belief that design is fundamentally about connection. Craftsmanship, heritage, and contemporary living are not separate ideas, but deeply intertwined. Sharing space, food, conversation, and ideas reminded us that thoughtful design begins with people.

That sense of dialogue carried through to Salone del Mobile in Milan. Rather than focusing on trends, we spent time listening to our partners and engaging in deeper conversations around sustainability, innovation, and longevity. What stood out most was a collective shift toward restraint and purpose. Luxury is becoming quieter, more considered, and more rooted in performance, material intelligence, and lasting value.

A defining moment of 2025 was the launch of Belgian Design Days 2026, developed in collaboration with Fedustria and Flanders Investment and Trade. This initiative reflects years of relationship building and shared values, along with a commitment to thoughtful, human-centred design. Belgian Design Days will serve as a platform for meaningful exchange between Belgian manufacturers and the California architecture and design community.

For TBS, this milestone represents an important evolution. Beyond being product experts and a showroom, we continue to grow into our role as a connector and convener, creating space for international ideas to take root locally through genuine engagement and collaboration.

As technology and sustainability continue to shape our industry, we remain guided by clarity, responsibility, and human judgment. While tools and systems evolve, it is discernment, ethics, and care that give progress its meaning. We believe the most enduring design choices are those rooted in purpose and built to last.

Karla Basselier CEO of Fedustria

It has been an honour to be on this journey with you in 2025. We are deeply grateful for the relationships that continue to shape our work, and we look forward to growing together in 2026, guided by our values of Tenacity, Benevolence, and Satisfaction.

With gratitude,

Liana & Mamuka
