Design. Innovation. Sustainability. These aren’t just words, they’re the essence of From Belgium to the Bay, our recent panel event presented by Fedustria, Flanders Investment & Trade, and Renson Inc.
Hosted at TBS Design Gallery, the evening brought together visionary leaders across architecture, landscape, and manufacturing to explore how shared values and craftsmanship can shape a more sustainable future.
Our distinguished speakers including Jonathan Feldman (Feldman Architecture), Sarah Warto (Boxleaf Design Landscape Architecture), Maxim De Vriese (Renson), and Karla Basselier (CEO of Fedustria, representing nearly 2,000 Belgian manufacturers) all shared inspiring perspectives on how purpose and innovation can transform the spaces we live in.
As conversations unfolded, one theme stood out: the power of collaboration. From architecture and landscape design to industrial manufacturing, innovation flourishes where craftsmanship and sustainability meet.
A highlight of the event was the announcement of Belgian Design Days 2026, marking a growing bridge between Belgium and California. This initiative builds on the recent Memorandum of Understanding with Fedustria, signed during the Belgian Economic Mission led by Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, further strengthening cultural and industrial collaboration between the regions.
It was wonderful for Belgian delegates, entrepreneurs, and iconic brands to also connect and experience the craftsmanship of other leading Belgian brands including Royal Botania, Renson, Heatsail, Umbrosa, and Reynaers.
At TBS Design Gallery, we are proud to create these moments of discovery where ideas spark, partnerships form, and creativity shapes the future of design.
We are grateful to our partners Fedustria, FIT - Flanders Investment & Trade, RENSON Ventilation - Sunprotection - Outdoor, Royal Botania, Heatsail, Reynaers Aluminium and Umbrosa for helping us celebrate creativity, collaboration, and sustainability across continents.
